How I came across flowers

Hi there! So glad you are here! I am Rachel, the crazy flower lady! Here is a quick story of how I got started growing flowers.

Being the true millennial that I am, I came across “Flower Farming” on YouTube. Back in 2022 I would binge watch videos of people planting, harvesting, and making bouquets while I would be pumping at work! Mom life lol

So what started as just an idea led to reality when my husband suggested that I just try it and see what happens. The first official flower garden I planted was an epic fail and became a giant weed patch. I blame my children for that, because as I started the flowers I also found out I was pregnant with our second and suddenly became to tired and overwhelmed to think about flowers.

Alright 2024, this is going to be my year! Would could go wrong with a new born and a flower garden? Oh I was so naive! My second child gave me a run for my money to say the least and I found myself lost in the trenches of being a mom. That summer I learned how much the flowers in a sense saved me. Getting outside in the sunshine and getting my hands dirty was exactly what I needed to keep my sanity. Being a mother is the best thing ever. However I need something outside of diapers and breast pumps to think about. Being able to share these beautiful flowers has given me so much joy and purpose to my life!

Now I am growing more and more flowers each year and reaching more people than I could of ever thought! I am so grateful for that!

In the years ahead my prayer is that these flowers not only bring you joy, but also connect you to those around you.
